2027 Chevrolet Bolt

LT establishes the lineup with a 210-hp electric motor, native NACS charge port, 17-inch aluminum wheels, an 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, and an 11-inch Driver Information Center. More than 20 standard safety and driver-assistance technologies give the entry trim an extensive equipment list without requiring a move up the range. RS uses the same core electric powertrain but takes a more expressive approach to design. A unique front grille and RS badging are joined by Gloss Black roof rails and 17-inch Black wheels. The cabin receives Black Evotex seating with red stitching and multi-color ambient lighting, giving RS a distinct visual identity while retaining the Bolt’s practical hatchback packaging.

Both 2027 Bolt trims use a single permanent-magnet electric motor producing 210 hp and 169 lbs. ft. of torque. Energy comes from a 65-kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery, providing an EPA-estimated driving range of 262 miles. A native NACS port provides access to compatible public charging stations, including select Tesla Superchargers. DC fast charging reaches 150 kW, with Chevrolet estimating a 10%–80% charge in approximately 25 minutes under suitable conditions. AC charging is supported at rates up to 11.5 kW.

Instant electric-motor response gives the Bolt smooth, immediate acceleration suited to commuting around Westminster and navigating busier Maryland roads. Its chassis pairs an independent MacPherson-strut front suspension with a compound-crank rear suspension, while partially regenerative 4-wheel disc brakes recover energy during deceleration. Electric power steering and the Bolt’s compact dimensions contribute to easy maneuverability in urban environments. The Bolt is not rated for towing. Its battery is backed by Chevrolet’s 8-year/100,000-mile limited warranty.

The redesigned interior retains the space-efficient hatchback layout that defines the Bolt while introducing a more contemporary dashboard and center-console design. Up to 4 cu. ft. of concealed underfloor cargo storage creates a separate area for smaller belongings without occupying the primary cargo compartment. LT keeps the cabin clean and functional around its twin digital displays, while RS introduces Black Evotex upholstery, red contrast stitching, and multi-color ambient lighting for a more distinctive atmosphere.

An 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen is paired with an 11-inch Driver Information Center to create a digital-focused cockpit. Google built-in integrates connected services, while Google Gemini adds voice-based interaction. Wireless phone charging is available. Available Super Cruise® brings hands-free driver assistance on compatible roads, extending one of Chevrolet’s more advanced technologies to its compact EV.

More than 20 safety and driver-assistance technologies are standard, including Adaptive Cruise Control and systems supporting forward collision mitigation, pedestrian and bicyclist detection, lane guidance, blind-zone awareness, rear cross-traffic situations, and reversing. Available HD Surround Vision, Driver Attention Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, Rear Pedestrian Alert, and parking assistance expand the suite further.
